Now...Moisture continues to pool along and south of a stationary boundary across the northern peninsula. Both the east and west coast sea breeze boundaries will develop early this afternoon and move inland with the western boundary making quicker progress inland due to a west-southwest steering flow aloft. While isolated to widely scattered convection is expected to develop along each boundary through the afternoon...We should see increased coverage late in the day and early evening once both the east-west coast sea breezes collide along with subsequent mesoscale outflow boundaries. The larger boundaries are expected to meet in the vicinity of lake... Orange...Osceola and okeechobee counties. The westerly steering flow will likely bring some of this activity back towards the east coast in the evening. The main threats from storms will be frequent cloud to ground lightning...Gusty winds and locally heavy downpours. Some of the storms could move off of the coast this evening...Especially north of the cape where the steering flow remains a bit stronger. For those planning a trip to the beach...Remember that the rip current threat remains high.
